So, we went to the hospital and we got an IV. The nurse refereed to it has a "Banana Bag" because it was yellow in color. It was yellow in color due to the multivitamins that the sodium chloride 0.9% solution contained. I am only posting this here because of my medical degree as a nurse. PLEASE SEEK OUT MEDICAL HELP. THIS IS FOR ADVICE ONLY.
The bag contained the following:
Thiamine 100 mg Folic acid 1 mg MVI 1 amp (Multivitamin for infusion, 1 ampule) Magnesium sulfate 3 g
The solution is typically infused over four to eight hours or as per physician's orders.
How can we reproduce this at home?
In place of the actual IV bag get Pedialyte. Do not get Gatorade. Upon reading the label you will see that Pedialyte has more electrolytes and less salt and carbohydrates which break down into simple sugars. Mix the vitamins in the Pedialyte. You are taking an oral suppliment so it does not go directly into the blood as quickly as an IV would but be careful not to overdose these vitamins. In my opinion, if you are a chronic addict, 2 8 oz glasses a day is good on the days that you are using your mind altering habit. Mind altering habits are very destructive not only to society but on our own bodies.
Thiamine is vit B1. Note that 1000 mg = 1 g B1 B12 and Folic Acid can be found in prenatal vitamins Folic acid can be obtained by getting over the counter prenatal vitamins. Note that ug's = micrograms. 1000 ug's = 1 mg Magnesium sulfate can be gotten by taking a magnesium supplement.
